Bringing Puppetry to Life in BSL…
On Saturday 25th July, I headed to the River Thames in Abingdon to find The Puppet Theatre Barge - a working barge that has also been a working theatre for three generations!
Usually, the barge hangs out in Little Venice in London but every summer it makes its way to Richmond-Upon-Thames and Abingdon to spread the puppet fun!
This year, I was delighted to be asked to interpret this year’s show, ‘Captain Sandy and the Sea Monster’, and it was a fantastic experience. The songs are so catchy and the puppets and puppetry simply wonderful! The barge will be moored in Abingdon until 11th July, so I highly recommend you head over there to see this fantastic show!
It was certainly one of the highlights of my year, that’s for sure!
A quick check that the lighting was okay and I was already for an audience!
